By of the Journal Sentinel A proposed of little more than a mile of Cedar Creek east of downtown Cedarburg comes with this promise: 30 years from now anglers and their families will be able to eat one meal a month of fish caught there. That is a significant improvement since state health officials at this time advise the public not to eat any fish caught in the creek from Bridge Road downstream to the Milwaukee River. They are unsafe to eat since toxic chemicals, known as PCBs, that are in the creek accumulate in fatty tissue of its fish. Eating fish is the primary way that the health of people, birds and other animals could be damaged by exposure to the chemicals. | Nov. 16, 2015...
